Professional guides begin the day with an in-depth safety orientation. Equipment and detailed instruction on how to captain your own boat are discussed in the orientation.  Then off to the rapids you go. Guides are in rafts and kayaks side by side with you the whole day. Before each rapid, you will be briefed on how to run the rapid.  Guides are set up through out the rapid giving hand signals for each rafter to follow. Riverside lunch is prepared for you about half way through the trip.

There will be a guide in each boat to make your day much more leisurely. A gourmet lunch will be prepared by guide.  The deluxe trip is less structured than a normal day trip which allows you the guest more freedoms to hike or swim at your own leisure.

Upper Yough Cheeseburger Falls

The Upper Yough drops almost 1000 feet from put-in to take-out. The rapids are continuous class IV to V.  It is one of the most demanding commercially run rivers in the country. Steep drops and tight slots will be encountered the whole trip.  One guide per raft. Each raft will take up to 3 guests.  

The Upper Yough is 10 minutes away from your lakefront chalet.

When booking for the Upper Yough remember that the Upper Yough only runs on Mondays, Fridays and the first Saturday of every month.
